Who we are

The Haircessorize is an online beauty store based in Accra, Ghana, selling hair care, skincare, wellness, makeup, fragrance and beauty tools. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you shop with us, online or in person, and how we use it.

What we collect

• Your name, phone number, email address and delivery address when you place an order or create an account.
• Your orders, payments you tell us about (for example a Mobile Money transaction ID) and your rewards balance.
• Your answers to our beauty profile quiz, if you choose to take it, so we can recommend products.
• Your email address if you join our newsletter.
• How you use our website, such as pages viewed, collected through cookies (see below).

We do not collect or store card details or Mobile Money PINs. You pay us by Mobile Money, bank transfer or cash, outside the website, and only send us the transaction reference.

How we use it

• To process, deliver and support your orders, and confirm your payments.
• To send order updates by email, SMS or WhatsApp.
• To run your account, rewards and wishlist.
• To answer your questions and recommend products.
• To send you offers and news, only if you signed up. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• To understand how our website is used and to measure and improve our advertising.

Who we share it with

We never sell your personal information. We share only what is needed with:

• Our delivery riders, who receive your name, phone number and delivery address.
• The companies that host our website and database and send our emails, who process data for us under contract.
• Analytics and advertising services such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and TikTok, which receive information about visits and purchases on our website through cookies, to measure and show our adverts.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your cart and wishlist, and measure visits and adverts. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features, such as staying signed in, may then stop working.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for seven years for tax and accounting purposes. Account and profile information is kept until you ask us to delete it. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Under Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, except what we must keep by law. You can update most of your details yourself in your account.

Children

Our website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
